As the head of our Client Services team, a big part of my job is attending and sponsoring conferences and industry events. We regularly go to SMX Advanced, SMX East, MozCon, Traffic and Conversion, Etail, and more. Understandably, most of these events have been cancelled in the face of the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m excited that conference organizers are starting to pivot to remote arrangements. Many conferences are now being run virtually while still offering great learning and networking opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first virtual show Crowd Content is participating in is SMX Next<\/a>, happening on Tuesday, June 23rd<\/sup> and Wednesday, June 24th<\/sup>. I\u2019ll be speaking on a topic dear to my heart \u2013 Success and Failures of Scaling SEO Content Programs<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s why we\u2019re excited about this show, and why I hope you\u2019ll join us there (it\u2019s free!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keeping Current With Search Industry Trends<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One thing that\u2019s constant in the SEO world is that it doesn\u2019t slow down and it\u2019s constantly changing. In the last few months there have been several major Google algorithm updates, for instance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s why I think it\u2019s so valuable to attend events like SMX Next. Their roster of speakers is always impressive and these folks know what\u2019s working and what\u2019s not with SEO. These are the sessions I\u2019m most interested in for SMX Next:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bringing the Community Together<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A big highlight of our year is getting out and meeting search marketing professionals at shows like SMX Next. The SMX shows are always very high-quality with amazing speakers and great social events and they tend to attract really great people. It\u2019s a great place for us to catch up with existing clients and partners, as well as meet new ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SMX Next includes many virtual networking events and ways to connect with attendees. I\u2019m excited to check those out and connect the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Chance to Give Back<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve been fortunate enough to attend a number of SEO conferences over the years, and I always learn so much from the sessions. At SMX Next I have the opportunity to share some of my knowledge developed by working everyday with industry leading companies to help them build and refine their content creation processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My talk is called Success and Failures of Scaling SEO Content Programs<\/em><\/strong>. Having worked with hundreds of enterprise companies in designing content programs, I\u2019ve seen things that worked really well and drove big results as well as things that\u2026 kinda did the opposite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In preparing my talk I also spoke to our team of project managers that work on our clients\u2019 content programs. They shared even more insights from their experience, so I feel confident in saying that we\u2019re going to be able to share some advice that will help anyone attending improve their content creation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the day, content creation is just a part of SEO, but it\u2019s what we live and breathe. I\u2019m really excited to share what we\u2019ve learned with the broader SEO community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
