This is in part a result of massive increases in internet access across the world.<\/p>\n<p>The massive increase in available online writers has made an impact on the\u00a0quality of copywriting. As well, according to Copyblogger&#8217;s\u00a0Brian Clark, the conversational tone of blogging can cause more mistakes and poor quality writing.<\/p>\n<p>I was immediately swept away by these <span style=\"line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">stereotypes for new\u00a0<\/span>copywriters a<span style=\"line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">s a relative newcomer to the copywriting community<\/span>. Mistake-ridden blog posts, soulless content, and a culture of multiple rounds of revisions were what I expected.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>ALSO<\/strong> <\/em>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crowdcontent.com\/blog\/2019\/06\/25\/what-is-copywriting-in-2019\/\">What is Copywriting and What Are Its Best Practices?<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Discovering True Sellability<\/h2>\n<p>When I began my career as a copywriter, I looked into some of the selling gurus of the 20th century for inspiration for my copywriting strategy. I\u00a0found a book by a famous entrepreneur by the name of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaelmasterson.net\/\">Michael Masterson<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Masterson&#8217;s best-selling book,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.ca\/Ready-Fire-Aim-Zero-Million\/dp\/0470182024\">Ready, Fire, Aim<\/a>, gave me new insight into the\u00a0art of copywriting. His words about selling a business not only inspired me as an entrepreneur but as a growing copywriter.<\/p>\n<p>The most important take away\u00a0from Masterson&#8217;s book for a copywriter is his advice about structuring advertising copy and marketing copy. What he describes in his book is paramount to achieving success in any <a style=\"line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\" href=\"http:\/\/leeds-faculty.colorado.edu\/moyes\/bplan\/Plan\/Writing%20a%20Successful%20Business%20Plan%202004v4.pdf\">sales\u00a0driven<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/leeds-faculty.colorado.edu\/moyes\/bplan\/Plan\/Writing%20a%20Successful%20Business%20Plan%202004v4.pdf\">\u00a0content<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Michael Masterson: True Marketing Copy<\/h2>\n<p>Online\u00a0marketing is exceptionally powerful. There are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.internetlivestats.com\/internet-users\/\">over three billion internet <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.internetlivestats.com\/internet-users\/\">users<\/a>,\u00a0and online marketing has the potential to reach a huge number of them.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Masterson focuses on what message you should send to all these internet users. And more specifically, how it should be constructed to create\u00a0<strong>real interest.\u00a0<\/strong>Sometimes this requires using variations to produce an epic and effective marketing campaign.<\/p>\n<p>As an online marketer or copywriter, you&#8217;ve probably come across Optimal Selling Strategies (OSS). Masterson discusses the OSS as\u00a0the optimal marketing direction for a certain product in a specific market.<\/p>\n<p>Understanding the OSS of your field as a copywriter allows you to\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">differentiate\u00a0your product campaign from the competition. As a copywriter, you can do this through emphasizing the <strong>unique selling points<\/strong> (USP) of a given product or brand.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Pursuing a strategy for\u00a0branding is powerful, so powerful it&#8217;s essential. &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/yei.yale.edu\/speaker-wes-bray-power-branding\">Your brand is one of your company&#8217;s most important assets&#8230; Properly managed, it can lead to either the <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/yei.yale.edu\/speaker-wes-bray-power-branding\">success<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/yei.yale.edu\/speaker-wes-bray-power-branding\"> or failure of a business.<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>All it Takes is Two<\/h3>\n<p>These two elements, the OSS and UPS\u00a0produce enough potential for a copywriter to exponentially increase their ability to sell.<\/p>\n<p>Embracing either one or both of these copywriting strategies has the potential to turn a modern copywriter into the elite sales machines that once called true writers of advertising copy.<\/p>\n<p>Any copywriters interested in better equipping themselves to sell their services should consider these two concepts in order to rethink the way they create content for their clients.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So&#8230; Anyone Can Be a\u00a0Copywriter?
